Free Self-Defense Workshop for Washington Reading Corps

My name is Djuna Davidson and I am the Team Coordinator for the AmeriCorps/Washington Reading Corps members based in Kitsap County. I am requesting the use of the gymnasium facilitites at View Ridge Elementary School on the 21st of March 2012 in order to provide a free self-defense workshop for my members. In light of the recent crime in the Bremerton area, some of my members who relocated to Washington for this service program have been experiencing fear; I am hoping to provide an opportunity for members to develop strategies for increasing personal empowerment and safety. This opportunity would be a great resource for my members. I hope that this can be scheduled. Thank you!
